We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Supervisor/Team Leader to join our operations team. This position will be responsible for assisting in overseeing a shift, under the the Shift Managers guidance. This role works on a shift that rotates across the hours shown below:
Early - 06:00 am Till 14:00 pm
Late - 14:00 pm till 22:00 pm
We are looking for someone who has previously worked as a supervisor or team leader, who has managed a large team of operational staff. Ideally this person will have come from the logistics, manufacturing, or automotive industries. Due to 30% of this work being office-based, a detailed understanding of Microsoft software and expertise with a system would be advantageous.
About The Role
How will you contribute:
- Develops Team Leads to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned Team Members
- Ensure that the team is meeting KPI’s and plan the workload accordingly to this.
- Maintains an equipment structure and level to accomplish the tasks in a safe, effective manner.
- Monitors and measures team member performance for accuracy and document on daily production metrics.
- Identify and eliminate safety and housekeeping hazards to minimize workplace accidents.
- Follow company policy regarding all health and safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance of employees to processes, work instructions, standard work, and work elements.
- Maintenance of all storage locations and labelling
- Deal with any communication that is needed to both internal and external customers.
What will you Bring.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- At least 2 years’ experience supervising in an automotive, manufacturing or logistics industry.
- GCSE’s Grade C+ or equivalent. Though A Levels are preferred.
- Proficient in all Microsoft applications.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills. Spanish verbal skills are preferred.
- Ability to train and develop a team well.
