We are currently recruiting for a Junior Electrical Engineer to join our team here at London gateway. Working under the direction of the Electrical Engineers you will support the port and park's continuous power supply while making sure that suitable power solutions are designed and built to satisfy present and future demands.
About The Role
How will you contribute:
- Support the proficient working of SCADA and BMS in order to monitor electricity consumption of buildings, terminal lighting and equipment.
- Develop skills and knowledge to manage day to day switching and electrical issues at the Port and Park
- Assist with the timely maintenance of Electrical infrastructure while considering the operational and statuary requirements.
- Ensure compliance to Safe Systems of Works and that all documentation is kept in order.
- Support a variety of electrical infrastructure construction or maintenance contracts to time, budget and the quality expected.
- Review and monitor electrical equipment in place and make suggestions to improve where necessary.
- Assist in the oversight and inspection of the installation of electrical work for conformance with plans and specifications.
What will you Bring.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- HND, HNC or a Degree in electrical engineering
- Ideally at least 3 years experience within a similar role
- Experience within a similar industry
- Experience in the Design, Construction, operation & maintenance of HV & LV power supplies & electrical infrastructure
- BS7671 18th Edition A2 is required
- Excellent communication skills
- Good problem solving skills
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and diagrams
