We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Auditor & Quality Specialist to join our team in Minworth. This role reports to the QEHS Manager, while quality technicians and pack auditors report to the individual in this role. Supporting initiatives for quality control and improvement across all operations falls under the responsibility of this function. Along with handling any customer concerns, conducting quality investigations, and managing the quality management system.
Our ideal candidates will have a background in logistics or the automotive industry, has experience leading a team, experience in a customer-facing position, and have knowledge of lean, continuous improvement, and quality control. Someone that is a natural problem solver, can complete reports, investigate with the 5 Whys and push back when needed.
About The Role
How will you contribute:
- Ensure that the whole collection of relevant process documentation is accessible and under revision control.
- Create methods, procedures, and sampling strategies for quality inspections based on customer needs, performance metrics, and/or specifications. Additionally, detect and report any current or potential quality issues.
- Direct and oversee corrective action initiatives at the site level.
- Monitor performance from available operational data and produce reports, execute process steps improvement based on data, and serve as the primary point of contact for external customer queries and complaints and meet appropriate SLAs.
- Provide quality input/support for new process (launch) and product introductions (NPI) - complete FMEA and control plans for new projects, processes, or business
- Support and take part in auditing programs, both internal and external.
- Develop solutions by collaborating closely with all divisions to promote CI efforts and QMS adherence.
- Lead local and regional quality projects and goals
- People manage Quality team
What will you Bring.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role is essential.
- Experience leading a team is essential
- A Background in an automotive or logistics industry is preferred.
- Experience in auditing is required (ISO audits or equivalent)
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Ideally educated to degree level, in a relevant field, but not essential
- Proficient in all Microsoft applications.
- A good understanding of lean methodolodgy would be beneficial.
