The University of Edinburgh Sport and Exercise seeks to appoint 3x dynamic, pro-active and positive thinking Operations Supervisors to join its Operations team, and fulfil a key supervisory role in supporting the busy, day to day operations at the Pleasance Sports Complex & Gym, Peffermill Playing Fields and St. Leonards Land.
Candidates should possess demonstrable supervisory skills in a busy leisure/sporting organisation, preferably within a HE environment. The ability to lead by example and give clear instruction/communication are vital, with a strong understanding of a leisure management system preferred. Proven customer service experience and the ability to deliver on its key principles are also required.
The Opportunity:
Under the guidance of the Facility/Duty Management team(s), you will help supervise teams in the delivery of Sport & Exercise’s market leading facilities and service to our members and guests, including Sports Union clubs, VIP visitors and University employees. Experience of working in a busy service environment is essential together with an enthusiasm for change and a proactive approach to team-working.
Candidates must be available to work core hours of Saturday and Sunday afternoons/evenings.
