Due to an internal promotion an exciting opportunity has arisen within the Bayes Centre for an initial 12 month Business Development Executive (BDE) post. We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join in the team representing Edinburgh’s world leading Data and AI ecosystem. This is a highly visible Business Development role across the University of Edinburgh and regional partners which presents a unique chance for personal and professional development.
Role Description:
The BDE will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of our innovation endeavours, spearheading the facilitation of multidisciplinary translational research opportunities across diverse academic units. Working hand in hand with professionals including Business Development Manager, the Centre Director, Chief Operating Officer, and Heads of various departments, you'll be at the heart of innovation.
As part of our team, you'll foster connections not only within the Bayes Centre but also across the University of Edinburgh's extensive network. You'll engage closely with academic researchers, SME’s and large industry partners to deliver collaborative opportunities for mutually beneficial outcomes.
Your influence will extend beyond academia, collaborating with key stakeholders in industry, regional development agencies, and funding bodies, ensuring our national and international visibility beyond the University.
Key focus areas will be the fields of Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics under the banner of Data-Driven Innovation. The post is based in the Bayes Centre but also forms part of the Edinburgh Innovations (EI) Business Development team.
