About the Role:
The postholder is responsible for being part of a multi-disciplined works team within the housing repairs function, delivering effective communal repairs within the cost and quality parameters of the DLO ensuring health and safety compliance and best practice.
We offer a challenging, yet exciting opportunity to work within a Direct Delivery service carrying out communal and individual repairs to LBL remedial repairs.
You will be working closely with Working Supervisor, Area Manager, and Planners to primarily deliver multi trade remedial repairs. You will ensure to strive to achieve right first-time completions, working with job Planners using handheld devices to prioritise work orders.
To assist with carry out all types of repairs and maintenance works both internally and externally. Also, assist in delivering high quality repairs and maintenance services, including new installations, maintenance, and remedial works in order to complete projects to the customer or client satisfaction as directed by your line manager or other nominated designate.
You will work in a professional and flexible manner that meets the demands of customers.
Successful candidates should have.
- GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 1/G and above / Level 1) desired.
- GCSE or equivalent Mathematics (Grade 1/G and above / Level 1) desired.
- CITB HSE Operatives Test (Passed within the last 2 years) desired.
- CSCS Card (Valid) desired.
- Communication skills, IT skills – proficient with using Microsoft Excel
- Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Presentation skills, Team working, Initiative, Patience.
To be eligible for the apprentice role, you must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- be a resident of Lambeth,
- have gained your qualifications in the borough, or
- be a current or previous recipient of Lambeth Care Leaver Services.
