SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently hiring a Construction Coordinator for our Haskell, TX Solar project. This role is responsible for providing day-to-day administration and tracking of construction-related processes and documents under the supervision of project management staff. This position requires 100% travel to the project for the duration of the project.
Hourly pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including the individual's knowledge, skill, and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect and organize punch lists, inventory, and work production plans for easy retrieval and documenting
- Process invoices and billing under the supervision of the project manager and/or project accountant
- Train in new project admins/clerks
- Perform basic inventory control under the direction of project management staff
- Assist with record retention and document controls
- Perform basic field quality and safety inspections
- Document conformance to plans and specs
- Recommend potential solutions
- Promote Mortenson’s safety culture
- Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
- Positions can be focused on inventory control (including fleet management) or electrical.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Previous experience on a construction job site preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office and Internet skills
- Ability to learn and utilize different types of computer software used in Construction Management to support any aspect of a construction project
- Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
- Ability to effectively handle detailed information and meet deadlines
- Ability to multitask
- Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback
- Fleet management and inventory control and/or electrical experience preferred.
- Construction experience preferred
- Ability to travel up to 100%
