Reporting to the Management Accountant, the Commercial Financial Analyst is responsible for a wide range of financial reporting and analysis, focusing mainly on sales volumes, revenues and margins, but also including selling, general and administrative overheads. The Europe Flavors Business Unit operates over several countries and currencies, resulting in a matrix reporting structure. The role supports the leadership team in the UK and our parent company in the US by providing a suite of management reports. This position requires a self-driven, motivated individual who can contribute to multiple projects and achieve deadlines concurrently.
What you'll do:
- Generate daily sales flash reporting, including brief commentary on movements from the previous day.
- Take Ownership of the monthly forecasting process, including rolling forward and updating spreadsheet models
- Engage Sales Account Managers to obtain their input into the process and managing review meetings to understand drivers of trends and changes before a final meeting to present the output back to the BU General Manager.
- Engage in Margin reporting, both backward and forward looking.
- Preparation of various month-end reports and dashboards.
- Provide commercial insight and analysis of results, identifying underlying trends and challenging the business on performance.

- Accountancy training with a good understanding of basic accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping.
