Millennium Physician Group is seeking to hire a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant to join the Physical Therapy team. We are looking for a new team member who is positive, energetic, well-organized, can multi-task, and think outside of the box. We want someone who supports our top initiative of ensuring an excellent patient experience!
The Physical Therapy Assistant performs Physical Therapy treatments, including the use of modalities and procedures to patients. Instructs patients and caregivers in appropriate home programs. Maintains communications with the Physical Therapist regarding the patients' status and response to treatment, reporting immediately any untoward reactions by the patient. Respects patients' rights of confidentiality and privacy. Complies with HIPAA regulations. Adheres to policies and procedures of Millennium Physician Group, abides by Standards of Ethical Conduct for Physical Therapists as established by the American Physical Therapy Association and by rules and regulations of the Florida State Practice Act, Chapter 486. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Standards:
- Communicates with Physicians and other medical staff as needed.
- Documents daily treatment notes in S.O.A.P. format to adhere to Millennium, state and national requirements.
- Completes the encounter form for each patient visit.
- Adheres to Physical Therapy policies and procedures.
- Maintains a clean and well stocked workspace including sanitizing equipment and stocking linens.
- Assists with front office tasks such as billing, scheduling and making or returning phone calls (as needed) during non-patient care.
- Respects each patient's right to confidentiality.
Qualified candidates will be a Florida licensee. New grads are welcome!
