We have an opening for a Section Leader in our Fabrication Facility in Old Hickory, TN.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership, direction, and feedback to assigned section's employees
• Responsible for the distribution and completion of work orders
• Safely operates all equipment including a forklift
• Maintains safe and clean workspace
• Reports all equipment malfunctions, safety, and repair issues
• Determines required equipment, methods, and techniques
• Check fabrication paperwork and material for accuracy in assigned section
• Analyzes weld sheets, blueprints, and assembly drawings to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations
• Inspects work for defects, dimensions, alignment, and end preparations using various processes, including a penetration spray
• Assists with bundling orders for customers
• Monitors inventory levels of raw materials of assigned section
• Fills in as needed within the assigned section
• Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe condition or practice to your supervisor.

Work Environment:

• The physical environment requires the employee to work in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to be punctual and attend work on a regular and consistent basis
• The person in this position needs to wear appropriate safety clothing and shoes when needed which includes welding apparel and gloves, helmets, respirators, and steel toe shoes etc.
• Must be able to stand for 100% of the time
• Occasionally will be expected to lift large materials not to exceed 80 pounds

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• 5 + years of sprinkler pipe fabrication
• 5 + years of leadership experience
