Scope of Position
The Merger & Acquisition Specialist supports the M&A strategy and execution for the organization. The role supports preliminary aspects of the Arrow M&A workflow, including heavy target sourcing, building solid reporting and other analytical tools designed to identify potential growth opportunities. Required to align with key internal stakeholders to inform, partner and drive enterprise-wide growth-related initiatives.
Essential Job Duties
Creatively source competitive intelligence across the security industry to obtain critical and relevant information.
Perform industry, market and company research and analysis.
Evaluate and prioritize potential M&A opportunities for industry competitiveness, strategic fit and potential vertical expansion.
Partner with executive team to define strategic goals and contribute to future growth-oriented roadmap.
Participate in the due diligence process, partnering with various internal resources.
Remain current on market dynamics and potential impact on Arrow's strategy.
Required Technical and Professional Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related degree
2-3 years in related M&A role with heavy focus on sourcing and identifying high-value targets
Experience working in dynamic team-based environments
Strong communications capabilities
Proficiency in financial modeling/forecasting techniques with strong attention to detail
Proven ability to deliver effective Executive Presentations
Highly proficient with core MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Highly Desired Technical and Professional Experience
MBA/CFA/CPA
M&A sourcing experience
PMI certification
Required Skills for Success
Financial acumen, understanding of financial statements and financial analysis techniques
Demonstrated ability to perform M&A related financial modeling.
Effective project management skills: ability to create and implement project plans.
Excellent communication skills, driving timely delivery of information to key stakeholders and appropriately adjusting communication approach based upon audience.
Expertise using MS Office tools and leveraging data from external database providers.
