Revenue Cycle Software Development Lead at Select Medical

Job Descrption

Overview

The revenue cycle software development lead will develop solutions that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of revenue cycle operations through automation and system integration.  More specifically, this person will be primarily responsible for developing, maintaining, and training automated cash posting solutions that incorporate and reconcile bank deposits, EMR transactions, and .835 remittance files into a seamless cash posting solution for all lines of business.  This person will work with cross-functional teams, ensuring business and technical requirements, including security and technical standards, documentation, and testing.  Subsequently, this individual will focus on creating additional operational efficiencies within insurance verification, insurance authorization, or other areas of revenue cycle focus.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain revenue-cycle-focused applications, ensuring they meet the specific needs of the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and develop innovative solutions
  • Leverage expertise in banking, claim submission, and electronic remittance file standards to design and implement robust revenue cycle solutions.
  • Ensure solutions are designed to be HIPAA compliant and maintain overall security standards
  • Automate cash posting and cash reconciliation processes to streamline revenue cycle operations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the development team.
  • Adhere to software development best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality and reliable software products.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience designing revenue-cycle-focused applications.
  • Minimum of 10 Years of .NET experience
  • Minimum of 10 Years of PHP experience
  • 5 years of experience in automated cash posting solutions
  • Extensive knowledge of cash management, claim submission, and electronic remittance file standards.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes and workflows.
  • Proficiency in software development best practices and methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of HIPAA compliance standards and Healthcare regulations.
  • Strong preference is given to candidates with experience with HMS (MedHost), Net Health Therapy, or EPIC hospital and healthcare applications.
