Per diem Physical Therapist Assistant- Baltimore County West

NovaCare has more than 10 standalone outpatient orthopedic centers in Baltimore County Maryland west. We are currently seeking experienced per diem (PRN) licensed physical therapist assistants (PTA) for our outpatient orthopedic centers in Arbutus, Naylors Court, Owings Mills, Pikesville, Reisterstown, Timonium and Towson. Our referrals are growing and we expect this per diem (as needed) physical therapist assistant to cover for our clinicians on an as needed basis in Baltimore County and Carroll County would be a PLUS! An ideal PTA has previous OP ortho experience as we are unable to consider new graduates at this time. Our centers open as early as 7AM with latest closing at 8PM. We are seeking a dependable, experienced and flexible licensed PTAs who is able to treat, as needed, at our area centers for caseload influx, vacation and leave coverage.

Our community-oriented outpatient orthopedic center is looking for a per diem, compassionate, caring and driven licensed physical therapist assistant to provide exceptional patient care to patients of all ages and abilities. Our highly trained and respected clinical team provides treatment services that maximize functionality and promote the best optimal outcomes for our patients. We utilize a variety of evidence-based treatments and manual therapy techniques to create individualized treatment plans focused on helping each patient achieve their specific goals and get back to the things that are important to them. Unique Location/Job Details: This is a per diem opportunity (as needed basis) for our northwest Baltimore County outpatient centers
This would be hourly paid position with the ability to participate in locally hosted CEU accrediting courses. No medical benefits are offered for per diem or PRN physical therapists assistants, but we DO expect this opportunity to grow into steady hours soon. Responsibilities
- Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
- Possesses training and education which allows him/her to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program.
- Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
- Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate from an approved curriculum for Physical Therapist Assistants, and having passed a national examination for Physical Therapist Assistants certified by the CAPTE.
- State license and/or certification must be valid in the state in which the individual will practice.
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
