Job Description:  

This position is part of the payroll team which is collectively responsible for processing the biweekly payroll and HR transactions for over 1800 MaineDOT employees. Duties include assisting employees with general pay and benefit related matters, verification related to financial institutions, unemployment and MainePERS, and reconciling between a payroll system that is unique to MaineDOT and the States accounting system. This position will also monitor various personnel actions to ensure appropriate documentation and ensure analysis is done in compliance with personnel law and rules and collective bargaining agreements. This position will assist with other HR functional areas including recruitment and selection and Workers' Comp. Work is performed under general supervision. 

To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:

Education, training and/or experience which demonstrates a solid knowledge of human resources administration functions.
