Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
The IT intern will support the IT Team not limited to researching, troubleshooting, maintaining SharePoint, and collaborating with the team.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the IT team in maintaining hardware, software, and other systems
- Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support
- Organize and maintain IT resources
- Lend IT support in areas such as cybersecurity, programming, analytics, and data center management
- Coordinate vendors for the acquisition of equipment and software
- Provide support in setting up end-user training activities
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications To be successful in the role:
- Fresh graduate or currently an undergraduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other IT-related courses
- Familiar with Java, .NET, JavaScript or HTML/DHTML, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in teams
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
