Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in data analytics, cybersecurity, technology research, anti-abuse, policy, or related fields.
- 5 years of experience in risk management, crisis management, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience resolving escalations and communicating with internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work non-standard hours, including on-call and weekend hours, to communicate with a globally distributed team.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in stakeholder and project management, with excellent product knowledge and insight.
- Experience in business intelligence and data analytics.
- Excellent thought-leadership and relationship building and management skills with both internal stakeholders and external partners.

In this role, you will be part of the cross-product abuse and crisis management hub of Trust & Safety. You will coordinate the cross-functional response to high sensitivity escalations, connecting dots and synthesizing all incident intelligence, ultimately driving the issue to resolution. Partnering across the business, you will strive for a complete view of cross-product risks facing Google to provide incident intelligence and abuse mitigation assurance.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Identify potential strategic risks to users or Google, conduct impact assessments, and develop mitigation strategies to manage high-stakes events and global crises.
- Develop and lead short and long-term projects that contribute to complete crisis management, focusing on securing users and platforms. Build and maintain relationships with all required agencies to effectively address global and region-specific challenges.
- Develop working level knowledge of top cross-platform risks facing Google users, platforms, and operations in order to prioritize areas in which to mitigate gaps. Review past incidents, identifying context and root causes, and drive initiatives for improvement.
- Take the lead in critical incidents, ensuring effective coordination and communication across teams for swift and effective resolution, minimizing negative user and organizational impact. Utilize our prioritization framework to consistently handle key issues, with a focus on investigating high priority issues.
