User Experience Design BS/MS Intern, 2025 at Google

Job Descrption
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field in the EMEA region, and in your penultimate/final year of education.
• A design portfolio that showcases design principles for web or mobile platforms.
• Relevant practical or internship experience using design tools (e.g. Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, InVisio, Principle, After Effects, Framer Studio etc).
• Relevant practical or internship experience in testing and iteration.
Preferred qualifications:
• Ability to complete a minimum 13 week full-time internship in the internship location between May - October 2025.
• Relevant practical or internship experience in interaction, graphic, or motion design.
• Knowledge of user-centered design principles.
• Ability to apply brand visual assets in a user interface context.

The User Experience team gathers insights and uses them to inspire and... inform design. We are a multi-disciplinary team of Interaction Designers, Visual Designers, User Researchers, Copywriters and Web Developers who collaborate closely with each other, and with Engineering and Product Management, to create innovative, usable products.
In this role, you’ll address complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use solutions for users. You will collaborate with teams of other Designers, Researchers, Engineers, and Product Managers throughout the design process. At each stage, you will anticipate what users need, advocate for them, and more.

• Produce designs that accurately reflect a visual design language or brand guidelines.
• Test and produce interaction flows and mock-ups that accurately communicate product functionality to Product, Engineering, and Visual Design team members
