• Work with Facebook Reality Labs (FRL) Audio Team on all aspects of product level audio design-from building up early proof-of concept technologies, product development and testing,
  through to production readiness.
• Own the holistic audio system design and definition (i.e.
• render/capture/amplifier/power delivery/audio processing chain).
• Define key performance
  indicators for acoustic system using literature/data driven design goals.
• Describe audio activities in a clear and concise manner, relating qualitative experience to quantitative data.
• Employ
  data driven design relying on objective and subjective audio evaluation.
• Develop POC demos to establish performance, gaining cross-functional and leadership buy-in.
• Develop new audio
  technologies and specify innovative test methods.
• Collaborate with internal/external specialized teams to achieve cutting edge audio quality in products.
• Support production manufacturing
  and failure analysis.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires a Master’s degree in Music Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or related field and 2 years of work experience in a fast paced high volume consumer electronic environment. Requires 24 months of experience in the following:
• 1. Audio System design
• 2. Product development and demonstration utilizing the following: Acoustic Simulation LEM/BEM/FEM (acoustic, magnetic, multiphysics)
• 3. 3D modeling
• 4. Audio digital signal processing with Matlab and MaxMSP
• 5. Acoustic measurement and calibration system design
• 6. Audio data visualization and analysis.
