• Develop and maintain language data annotation guidelines.
• Manage data creation and annotation efforts with third-party partners.
• Annotate and curate data for large-scale Natural Language Processing projects.
• Work in collaboration with other linguists, as well as data scientists, engineers and project managers to achieve product goals.
• Analyze system metrics to identify pain points and use data manipulation tools and scripts to move quickly and accurately at scale.
• Guide collaboration with cross-functional teams in shared work, existing initiatives, and new initiatives.
• Telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. permitted.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires a Master’s degree in Linguistics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Position also requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following:
• 1. Data science or statistical analysis of qualitative data
• 2. Sociolinguistics with a focus on Discourse Analysis
• 3. Natural Language Processing.
