Salary: £57,000 - £61,000
Key Purpose of the Role:
This role plays a pivotal part in leveraging vast data resources to support data-driven decisions across Arriva. By developing robust data systems, designing efficient pipelines, and automating reporting, this position enhances operational efficiency and provides critical insights, enabling teams to proactively seize opportunities and tackle challenges.
Main Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and maintain high-quality data pipelines, processes, and associated documentation.
• Ensure automated reports meet evolving business requirements and timelines.
• Act as a liaison between business teams and data/analytics functions to accurately translate and deliver on requirements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on key projects, guiding teams with data-driven insights.
• Partner closely with the Head of Commercial Planning and Head of... Route Performance to create data products that adapt to the changing business landscape.
• Work collaboratively with commercial analysts to enhance and scale analytical capabilities, maximizing the value of organisational data.
• Provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence, ensuring continuity and consistency in deliverables.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge in Python coding, debugging, and Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
• Data Systems Experience: Skilled in creating, developing, and optimizing data systems to support organizational analytics and reporting needs.
• Analytics Technology Stack: Proficiency with modern data analytics tools and platforms.
• Communication Skills: Strong communicator with experience working across diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Process Improvement: Expertise in identifying areas for efficiency gains and implementing process improvements through automation.
• Project Management: Solid project management skills with the ability to delegate tasks effectively.
• Database Design: Skilled in visual analytics and database table structuring for optimal data storage and retrieval.

• Foster collaborative and effective relationships across all areas of the business.
• Enable quicker access to insights by implementing automated visual reporting.
• Drive successful project delivery, both within Arriva and alongside external technology partners.
• Cultivate effective working relationships with remote IT teams and data peers.
