Primary Responsibilities:
As a member of the maintenance team, our Electricians work closely with the Operations, Engineering and Maintenance staff.
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electrician will increase uptime, throughput, efficiency and quality through the process of maintaining, designing developing and continuously improving our equipment. The Electrician works with a great team to ensure we continue to produce the best copper tube for our customers.

Work Experience , skills or education:
• Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Electrical Certificate of Qualification (309A or 442A) required.
• Demonstrated technical expertise; a minimum of 1 year of experience as an Industrial Electrician
• Demonstrated organizational skills and mathematical ability
• Proven problem-solving ability
• Familiarity with SLC500, PLC 5 Micro Logix’s, Control Logix’s, FT View, SE and ME, Power Flex VFD Drives, Process Control experience is an asset;
• Solid communication skills; demonstrated ability to asked relevant questions, and convey recommendations and/or concerns appropriately
• Ability to effectively listen and communicate.
• Strong team orientation and solution focused demeanor
• An understanding of new electrical standards involving Pre-Health and Safety Reviews, safe distance calculations, and Safety Plc’s.
• Strong commitment and work ethic.
• Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
• Ability physically to maneuver around workstations and climb stairs when needed. Also able to operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and forth trucks to position machinery and parts during installation, set-up and repair of machine.
· Must be able to work either straight afternoon shift, or rotating night and afternoon shifts, Monday - Friday.
