Job Descrption
On Offer:
• A salary of circa £50,000 depending on experience
• Bonus
• Enhanced pension
• Work from home 4 days a week and 1 day in the office in London
• 33 days holiday
The role:
• As Technical Manager you will deliver all the safe and legal technical requirements for the company. You will work with the wider business including NPD, procurement, commercial, supply chain and operations as well as working with suppliers and customers.
• Work with NPD on trials and launches from a Technical perspective
• Work on existing products including development of quality attribute sheet for customer launches
• Completion of specifications
• Ensure a good flow of technical communication throughout the business.
• Manage all customer complaints and... queries and ensure resolved in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance to customer standards and COPs.
• Manage suppliers - including supplier visits for auditing, trials and first production.
• Contribute to the continuous development of the department and processes.
• Ensure compliance by delivering and leading BRC audits
The candidate:
• A minimum of 3 years experience working in a similar Technical role within food manufacturing
• Hold a degree in Food Science or the equivalent experience
• Good knowledge of the food industry and UK food legislation is essential
• HACCP level 3 or above
• Good working knowledge of BRC standards (Manufacturing or A&B)
• A motivated individual who can work well under pressure
• An individual with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
