We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead the Procore Copilot team, a key component of our innovative product that leverages a generative AI system that helps our customers deliver their projects, faster, cheaper, and more safely. You will be responsible for overseeing the integration of Procore Copilot with external vendors, ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our solutions. You will manage a team of diverse and talented software engineers, providing them with guidance, feedback, and mentorship.
This position will report to the Director of Machine Learning and will be based in our Austin, TX office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.
What you’ll do:
Plan, execute, and deliver the roadmap for the generative Procore Copilot, aligning with the product vision and customer needs.
Manage the full software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing and deployment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, engineering, and operations, to ensure the integration of Copilot with various platforms and tools
Lead, coach, and motivate a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability
Designing for scale - we are past the proof of concept phase and now we need to build a system robust enough to handle concurrent users and high demand
Monitor and troubleshoot the performance, availability, and security of Copilot integrations
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates and feedback
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
Minimum 7 years of experience in software engineering as an individual contributor and minimum 3 years of engineering leadership experience , preferably in a cloud-based environment
Demonstrated success on delivering cloud solutions that serve a high volume of customers and exercising software engineering principles, methodologies, and tools
Proficient in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript
Experience with AWS and Azure cloud services and APIs
Prior experience in delivering systems that contain machine learning components required, experience with generative AI and natural language processing is a plus
Experience with Microsoft and external vendor integrations is a plus
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Passionate about software engineering and AI innovation
Base Pay Range $158,680 - $218,185. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
