Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Communications Manager to oversee all aspects of our marketing communications strategies and initiatives, in close cooperation with our headquarters in Germany. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies that enhance our brand reputation, engage stakeholders, and drive business objectives.
This role requires a dynamic individual with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to enhance the company's brand visibility and reputation, ensuring alignment with global communication efforts led by ETAS’ headquarters in Germany.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including sales, product marketing, engineering and global campaign managers to develop integrated marketing campaigns that effectively promote products/services and drive customer engagement.
- Develop and oversee ETAS’ regional event strategy, including planning, execution, and evaluation of events such as conferences, trade shows, tech days and online events
- Serve as the primary media liaison, cultivating relationships with journalists to secure positive coverage, while keeping the headquarters informed and involved in media interactions.
- Manage internal communication channels and ensure consistent messaging. Develop and distribute internal announcements and updates to keep employees informed about company news, initiatives, and achievements.
- Ensure adherence to corporate design guidelines across all marketing materials and channels.
- Lead and develop regional marketing and communications team, including potential third-party support.
- This position is located in the Metro Detriot Area. Must be within a commutable distance of Metro Detroit.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in marketing communications roles, with at least 3 years in a management capacity.
- Project management experience with proficiency to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in marketing automation platforms, content management systems, and analytics tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Collaborative mindset with the expertise to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the proficiency to inspire and motivate team members.
- Proficiency in German language strongly desired.
- Experience working in the automotive/hi-tech/software sectors is a plus.
