Job Description
Work for this position is primarily performed at the laboratory bench, in biosafety cabinets, and at a computer in the lab. The Principal Scientist will be responsible for maintaining the Lab and the below tasks.
- Prepare and create test article extracts, test solutions, quality controls, and standards in accordance with directions.
- Efficiently carry out procedures necessary to complete each project with minimal supervision.
- Actively assist in development and execution of novel testing protocols and overall assay development.
- Meticulously maintain precise records in accordance with good laboratory practices.
- Assist in writing of reports.
- Follow all PSL safety requirements.
- Oversee all laboratory assays and day to day procedures.
- Create and maintain the lab’s testing schedule.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year with GLP/GMP lab experience is required.
- At least 1 year with a lab position.
- A B.S. degree or equivalent experience in laboratory skills such as cell culture or biology is preferred.
- The individual holding this position must be of the highest integrity and have a very strong sense of responsibility. The individual must be well organized, capable of independent study completion, adapting to a broad spectrum of responsibilities and able to maintain meticulous and accurate records. Capability to adhere to good documentation practices and good laboratory practices (GLP) is of utmost importance.
Additional Information
Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 9am-5pm., with additional work, as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance from South Brunswick (Dayton) NJ area are encouraged to apply.
