Job Description
Purpose of Job:
Critical – The post holder must be capable of speaking conversational Welsh and would ideally be fluent as some of our partners and beneficiaries choose to speak Welsh
Critical – The post holder must be experienced from one of the following sectors i.e. grants, welfare, local authority, DWP, charity, advice, vendor management environment or similar
Management of the network of Partner organisations across Wales who refer and support applicants to the Discretionary Assistance Fund (DAF Partner Network)
Ongoing engagement, development and involvement with partner organisations to increase awareness and understanding of the DAF, and ensure the voice of partner organisations is represented
Recruitment, registration and training of potential partner organisations assisting individuals in Wales to access the DAF
Manage operational relationships in Wales between NEC, the Welsh Government and its partners
Duties and responsibilities:
Relationship development and management
Manage relationships with a diverse range of organisations from the third sector to local authorities
Proactively identify, research, prospect and develop new partners and partner opportunities
Manage relationships with the established DAF Partner network coordinating quarterly updates with national contacts and undertaking annual reviews across the network
Maintaining good working relationships with all registered partner organisations
Maintain an up-to-date copy of the Partner registration database, recording a range of information that can by analysed on a quarterly basis to ensure adequate coverage and representation across sectors and geography
Maintain an up-to-date Partner distribution list of all DAF Main Contacts in every partner organisation registered
Produce and deliver progress reports and Management Information for a range of audiences (Partners, Welsh Government and Public)
Produce and distribute digital communications to the partner network on a quarterly basis via the DAF Partner distribution list (E-bulletins)
Develop and distribute all other Partner support materials that are required to meet partner needs (additional guidance, notifications and sector information sheets)
Develop a range of training programmes, materials, presentations and partner supporting materials that can be used at events or in an online training environment
Deliver training sessions and presentations to diverse range of organisations including directly upskilling DAF Partner organisations front line staff
Manage Wales Partnership Forum collecting feedback to use as a basis for the Welsh Government to monitor the use of the DAF and changes to the systems
Represent NEC on the Operational Board for the DAF in Wales reporting directly to the Welsh Government on progress, conversion of meetings to partners registered and partner feedback
Work to develop appropriate mechanisms for MI dissemination
Contribute to the DAF team with management support and guidance
Liaise daily with partners via a range of channels on queries relating to the DAF providing advice and support
Raise the profile of the DAF fund by representing NEC at events locally and nationally in Wales
General responsibilities:
Manage own diary of external visits and make own travel/overnight accommodation arrangements
Support DAF Service Manager activities
Support DAF achieve AQS accreditation
Make own arrangements for meetings and all other appointments using telephone and email
Hybrid with some travel throughout Wales, FFBS York & occasional overnight stays

About you
We are looking for a special person to fit into the DAF Welsh team at Wrexham, so a person with a positive attitude and a grafter. There’s some working alone and on a hybrid basis, so trust is important. The client is high profile and important, so we are looking for someone who works in a collaborative manner and nurtures all relationships
