Job Description
What will you be doing?
As a Lead Nuclear Engineer, you will join our team in Derby to support our activities within the Nuclear sector.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead a multidisciplinary team in the conceptual/system design and analysis of various systems related to plant build, modularisation and skid structures.
- Design, define and implementing concepts into requirements pertaining to process design, piping structures and skid frames.
- Providing inputs within the design, simulation and calculation phases of the whole project.
- Create HAZOP & HAZID reports with constructability, safety considerations in place.
- Ensure all QHSE standards are incorporated throughout the design and development phase.
- Monitor project progress and ensure all deliverables are met within set deadlines and budget.
Who are we looking for?
- A person able to lead and drive a team of various disciplines and being able to strike a balance between various stakeholders.
- Prior exposure to large Nuclear Energy, Renewable or Oil & Gas projects.

Qualifications
Experience, skills and qualifications required:
- Degree in Environmental, Oil & Gas, Nuclear sciences or related fields.
- Previous management in leading and delivering large complex projects within the Energy sector or safety critical industries.
- Familiarity of various tools related to engineering/ Project management/methods such as Ms Projects, Inventor, IBM DOORS etc.
- Eligibility to achieve BPSS clearance.
