Job Description
What will you be doing?
As a BoM engineer for our UK-based team, you will play a pivotal role in the automotive industry, specializing in design, development, and release processes, with a focus on electrical and mechanical interfaces. Your responsibilities will include efficient planning, risk mitigation, and innovative problem-solving, alongside strong project and release management. Your communication skills will be essential in coordinating with suppliers and managing changes effectively. Additionally, your technical proficiency in CAD structuring, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), and tools like Siemens Teams Centre and CATIA V6/V5 will contribute to process optimization and product quality assurance.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead design, development, and release processes in the automotive sector.
- Directing project management, release management, change management, and supplier management efforts.
- Plan and mitigate risks while fostering innovative problem-solving.
- Manage projects and releases efficiently.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manage changes effectively.
- Utilize CAD structuring and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for optimization.

Qualifications
Experience, skills and qualifications required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree Mechanical Engineering, Automotive engineering or a related field.
- Proven track record in the automotive industry, with specialization in design, development, and release processes.
- Proven experience of 1-5 years in Engineering, preferably with an automotive background.
- Awareness of automotive industry standards
- Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BoMs) and OEM processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Proficiency in tools such as Siemens Teams Centre and CATIA V6/V5.
