Job Description
What will you be doing?
As a Functional Safety Engineer within our Milton Keynes based team, your primary focus will be on fortifying the safety measures embedded in our projects and products. Your adeptness in functional safety, particularly in navigating ISO26262 standards and conducting Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA) processes, will be crucial in safeguarding the integrity and reliability of engine systems.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Utilize your extensive experience to lead and drive functional safety initiatives across various projects and teams within the organization.
- Ensure compliance with ISO26262 standards throughout the development lifecycle of our products, from concept to delivery, by implementing robust processes and procedures.
- Conduct comprehensive HARA activities to identify potential hazards, assess associated risks, and develop effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and quality assurance, to integrate functional safety requirements seamlessly into product development processes. Effective communication of safety-related concepts and requirements across teams will be vital.

Qualifications
Experience, skills and qualifications required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automotive engineering or a related field.
- Proven track record in the automotive industry.
- Experience in utilization of ISO 26262.
- Awareness of HARA processes.
- Proven experience of 1-5 years in Engineering, preferably with an automotive background.
- Awareness of automotive industry standards.
