Location : Dubai-UAEDepartment : Hedge FundReports To : PromoterDirect Reports : GP – Gift City Fund, GP – UK / Jersey FundJob Description:The President – Hedge Fund will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s hedge fund operations, portfolio strategies, and global investment activities, ensuring superior risk-adjusted returns, regulatory compliance, and investor engagement.This role requires deep expertise in hedge fund structuring, alternative investments, risk management, and multi-asset portfolio management, along with strong regulatory knowledge across multiple jurisdictions (FCA, SEBI, SEC, JFSC).The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in fundraising, capital allocation, derivatives trading, and hedge fund governance, ensuring that the fund remains competitive and adaptive to evolving market conditions.Key Responsibilities:1. Hedge Fund Strategy & Portfolio Management· Develop and execute global hedge fund strategies across equities, fixed income, derivatives, structured products, and alternative asset classes.· Optimize liquidity management, hedging techniques, and leverage ratios to enhance portfolio performance.· Oversee quantitative and algorithmic trading strategies for high-frequency trading and arbitrage opportunities.· Ensure diversification across geographies, sectors, and asset classes, balancing risk exposure and return objectives.2. Fund Structuring & Regulatory Compliance· Ensure compliance with global financial regulations (FCA, SEC, SEBI, JFSC, RBI, AIFMD, IFSC Gift City) for all hedge fund activities.· Collaborate with legal advisors, compliance teams, and external regulators to manage offshore and onshore fund structures.· Oversee fund documentation, investor disclosures, NAV calculations, and financial reporting.· Implement strong corporate governance frameworks to maintain transparency and investor trust.3. Investor Relations & Fundraising· Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, and HNWIs to secure fund commitments.· Structure and manage capital-raising strategies, investor roadshows, and fund pitch presentations.· Develop investment products that cater to different investor risk appetites, including hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital allocations.· Ensure regular performance reporting, investor communications, and fund updates to stakeholders.4. Risk Management & Performance Analytics· Oversee the development and implementation of risk-adjusted investment models, volatility controls, and downside protection strategies.· Ensure fund managers adhere to strict risk parameters, drawdown limits, and stop-loss policies.· Utilize AI-driven analytics and predictive modeling tools to enhance investment decision-making.· Monitor global economic trends, macroeconomic policies, and market movements to proactively adjust portfolio exposure.5. Leadership & Team Management· Provide strategic leadership to the General Partners (GPs) of the Gift City and UK/Jersey Funds to ensure alignment of investment strategies.· Oversee the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of hedge fund managers, traders, and analysts.· Foster a high-performance culture by encouraging innovation, research-driven decision-making, and continuous market intelligence gathering.6. Cross-Department Collaboration & Growth Initiatives· Work closely with the Trade Desk and M&A teams to align hedge fund strategies with broader corporate investment goals.· Explore and implement new investment vehicles, structured finance products, and credit investment opportunities.· Drive expansion initiatives into emerging markets and alternative asset classes (digital assets, carbon credits, impact investing, etc.).Internal InterfacesPromoter, General Partner – Gift City Fund, General Partner – UK / Jersey Fund, Senior Trader , Financial Compliance & Reporting , Investment Analysts & Risk Teams.External InterfacesHedge Fund Regulators (FCA, SEC, SEBI, JFSC, RBI), Institutional Investors & Family Offices, Private Equity & Venture Capital Firms, Investment Banks & Prime Brokers, Legal & Compliance Advisors, External Auditors & Risk Consultants.
