Job Description
We are currently looking for a talented and dedicated Research and Development (R&D) Chemist to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research, analysis, synthesis, and experimentation on substances.
- Develop new products, improve the properties of existing products, and test the quality of finished products.
- Interpret data and adhere to strict guidelines on documentation when recording data.
- To carry out method development, validation and gain accreditation of new methods of analysis to ensure our technical offering meets market demands.
- Support the set-up, installation and implementation of new laboratory instrumentation, SOP’s and workflows.
- Train staff in methods adopted by the laboratory relevant to the analysis of food / feed.
Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to A Level (or equivalent) including Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent)
Desirable
- Degree (or equivalent) level qualification in a scientific field.
- Full driving license for use in the UK
- Experience in analytical chromatography.
- Experience working to deadlines.
- Good understanding of contaminants in food and regulation.
