Job Description
We are currently in search of an experienced Engineering Team Leader with expertise in the Certification of equipment for use in Potentially Explosive Environments with a focus on non-electrical and mechanical protection concepts (Flameproof, Increase Safety) , to join our vibrant team.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of engineers in project execution.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations throughout certification projects
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met.
Plan and design the technical aspects of projects.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to your team.
Monitor and manage project timelines, ensuring deadlines are met.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications
Essential
Qualification gained through higher education in an Engineering, Management, Business Administration, or related subject
Proven experience in an engineering leadership role.
Extensive knowledge of engineering principles and industry standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience in the application of the Ex standards and the relevant testing protocols, and in applying professional judgement on compliance and the significance of non-compliance
ATEX / IECEx / UKEx knowledge
Desirable
Experience in an engineering environment of drawing office practice, factory production and quality control methods or systems
General engineering background
Knowledge of how decisions impact business results, working with a diverse team and planning and thinking strategically.
Demonstrates the ability to manage employee performance using performance expectations and goals, and responding to employee relations issues.
