Job Description
We are currently in search of an experienced Engineering Team Leader with expertise in the Certification of equipment for use in Potentially Explosive Environments with a focus on non-electrical and mechanical protection concepts (Flameproof, Increase Safety) , to join our vibrant team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers in project execution.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations throughout certification projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met.
- Plan and design the technical aspects of projects.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to your team.
- Monitor and manage project timelines, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications
Essential
- Qualification gained through higher education in an Engineering, Management, Business Administration, or related subject
- Proven experience in an engineering leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of engineering principles and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in the application of the Ex standards and the relevant testing protocols, and in applying professional judgement on compliance and the significance of non-compliance
- ATEX / IECEx / UKEx knowledge
Desirable
- Experience in an engineering environment of drawing office practice, factory production and quality control methods or systems
- General engineering background
- Knowledge of how decisions impact business results, working with a diverse team and planning and thinking strategically.
- Demonstrates the ability to manage employee performance using performance expectations and goals, and responding to employee relations issues.
