Job Description

As an experienced Security Technologies Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of security technologies across the organisation.

You will supervise the team of engineers, ensuring the efficient and effective use of security technologies to protect our assets, mitigate risks, and preserve the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information systems.

This role will be based out of our London HQ 2 days per week. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of security technology engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to foster professional growth and maximise individual and team performance.
  • Develop and implement an overarching security technology strategy aligned with business objectives, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the management and support of security technologies, such as boundary protection solutions, vulnerability management, brand protection, Secure Email Gateways, XDR/Anti-Malware, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including information security, architecture, platform engineering, network engineering, and software development.
  • Perform risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify potential security gaps or weaknesses in existing technologies
  • Stay updated on emerging security threats, industry trends, and evolving technologies.
  • Develop and maintain security technology standards, guidelines, and procedures, ensuring compliance with the organisation's security policies and applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with the incident response team in investigating and responding to security incidents.

Qualifications

About you: 

  • Proven experience in security technology management
  • Strong technical background in security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, access control systems, DLP, encryption, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing security technology projects, from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines.
  • Proven knowledge of “service wrappers” as they pertain to best practice around product/platform lifecycles
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience working with Microsoft cloud security technologies, especially Sentinel, Defender and Purview
  • Python programming knowledge - able to write scripts etc
  • REST/Graph API experience
  • Azure Kubernetes Service experience
