Job Description
We are now looking for a Senior UX Copywriter to support the product team in their ongoing success and instrumental in our ability to demystify investing. Through their crafting of impactful and polished UX copy they will enable us to deliver smooth, straightforward services and guidance to help our customers understand how to invest and manage their portfolios. This role will shape the narrative of our digital platforms, including our flagship AJ Bell platform and our specialised app, Dodl, designed to assist new investors.
AJ Bell’s senior UX copywriter should also be comfortable reviewing and producing content across AJ Bell’s D2C digital assets. Be able to absorb and implement our TOV for both AJ Bell and Dodl to go and on for the product and marketing functions for Dodl. produce jargon-free content which motivates and guides our customers.
Responsibilities
- Crafting Precise and Impactful Copy:
- Develop clear, concise, and impactful copy that aligns seamlessly with AJ Bell's established brand voice and tone across both web and app interfaces.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers and developers, to maintain a consistent and polished user experience.
- User-Centric Content Development:
- Conduct thorough user research to understand the nuanced needs and preferences of our diverse audience.
- Create user-focused content that guides and informs users at every touchpoint, from initial onboarding to ongoing account management.
- Interface and Interaction Copy:
- Write sophisticated copy for user interfaces on both web and app platforms, ensuring precision and clarity in labels, buttons, and tooltips.
- Work closely with the UX/UI team to refine and iterate on designs based on user feedback, adhering to the highest standards of corporate communication.
- Optimize for SEO and Visibility:
- Implement SEO best practices in copy to enhance search engine rankings and increase visibility across digital platforms.
- Work with content team to enhance and produce SEO optimised content in support of our content strategy.
- Maintain Consistency:
- Establish and uphold a consistent and professional tone of voice across both web and app channels.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive style guide, ensuring alignment with corporate communication standards.
- Collaboration and Feedback Integration:
- Collaborate seamlessly with product managers, designers, and developers to ensure a harmonious alignment between design and copy.
- Actively welcome and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to continuously refine and elevate the quality of copy.
- Stay Informed and Innovative:
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX writing, integrating relevant insights into our corporate digital strategy.
- Apply learnings to enhance the overall user experience and maintain AJ Bell's position at the forefront of corporate innovation.
What we’re looking for:
- Team working and ability to work across multiple projects/stakeholders
- Confidence in owning TOV and providing feedback to others where needed
- Attention to detail, particularly in grammar
- Excellent problem solving and knowledge of the business to proactively get support
- Able to manage time independently and meet deadlines
- Highly organised and used to managing own workload
- Proven experience as a Senior UX Copywriter or in a similar capacity within a corporate digital environment.
- A distinguished portfolio showcasing successful UX writing projects across web and app platforms.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, with an ability to infuse a corporate tone into user-friendly content.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, aligned with corporate professionalism.
- Familiarity with financial services or investment-related content is advantageous.
- Use of project management tools such as Jira, Trello or Monday
- Understanding of SEO and digital best practice
- Experience of Google Analytics and social media reporting tools would be an advantage
