An exciting new role has been created to assist the Finance Director with the development of the reporting to the Executive Finance Committee. The role will assist the Finance Director in providing clear oversight and challenge to the business to ensure it is financially efficient.
We are looking for an individual with a proactive approach, strong thought leadership and critical mindset, with the ability to work independently, to challenge, and who can build strong relationships and communicate well across the team and the wider business.
The successful candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in preparing and delivering high quality internal financial reports to senior stakeholders within the business.
Key focus areas of your role will be:
Executive Finance Committee
- Identifying key areas for deep dives within the business
- Liaising with key stakeholders when undertaking deep dives and preparing reports
- Presenting at the Executive Finance Committee as required
- Co-ordination and preparation of reports for the Executive Finance committee
Board/Executive management Board Committee reporting
- Development and preparation of project reporting on the Group’s strategic objectives for the Executive Committee
- Preparing the executive section of the monthly business review, used by the Executive Committee and Board for assessing the performance of the business
Other
- Assisting FD in providing financial information/oversight for business projects
- Ad-hoc requirements as requested by the Finance Director
What we're looking for:
- ACA/ACCA qualified (minimum of 5 years PQE)
- Experience of Board/Executive reporting in a listed/or equivalent environment
- Strong commercial awareness
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent planning/organisational skills
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Flexible and highly motivated
