Civil Structural Engineer
Duties & Responsibilities
Design and analyze structures such as buildings, and other infrastructures.
Perform load calculations, stress analysis, and material selection based on project requirements.
Ensure compliance with national and international structural codes and standards
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to develop structural plans.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
Coordinate with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and other engineering disciplines.
Conduct site visits to inspect structural elements, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
Provide technical guidance to construction teams, resolving on-site issues.
Ensure quality control and safety compliance during construction.
Use structural analysis software for structural modeling and analysis.
Utilize CAD software like AutoCAD and Civil 3D for drafting and detailing.
Prepare structural design reports, calculations, and technical documentation.
Review and approve technical drawings, construction plans, and material specifications.
Identify and mitigate structural risks through engineering assessments.
Provide solutions to design and construction challenges.
Evaluate existing structures for retrofitting and strengthening.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
5-6 years of experience in structural engineering design and site supervision.
Proficiency in structural design software
Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and construction methodologies.
Experience in steel, concrete, and composite structures.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Leadership skills to manage teams and coordinate with different stakeholders.
