Job Description
• The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting clinical examinations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures on animals, using their expertise to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
• You will work closely with other veterinary professionals to ensure comprehensive care for our patients, including developing treatment plans and monitoring patient progress.
• Effective communication with pet owners is essential, as you will need to advise them on medical and preventative treatments for their animals.
• Maintaining accurate records of patient history, treatment, and progress is critical for effective communication and continuity of care.
• To stay up-to-date with advancements in veterinary medicine, you will be required to adopt best practices and continually update your knowledge and skills.
Requirements
• A veterinary degree from a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons approved course (5-6 years duration) is mandatory.
• Proven passion for animal welfare and veterinary science is essential, as is a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care.
• Strong medical and surgical skills, combined with a deep understanding of biology and science, are critical in this role.
• Excellent communication skills are vital to effectively liaise with pet owners and team members, ensuring seamless collaboration and open communication.
• Patience, calmness, and a high level of emotional intelligence are required to handle stressful situations and make informed decisions.
• Proficiency in performing medical procedures with precision and care is essential for delivering high-quality patient outcomes.
• Preference will be given to licensed/equalized diploma candidates who demonstrate a strong aptitude for this role.
