Job Description

THE POSITION: The Sr. Manager / Principal of Business Analysis, reporting to the Sr. Director, Solution Architecture & Platforms, will lead and mentor a team of Technical Business Analysts (TBAs) while providing senior-level business analysis expertise.  You will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring successful project delivery, and driving strategic business initiatives. Our ultimate goal is to exceed the expectations of our clients, both internal and external.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business Analyst Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Technical Business Analysts (TBAs) and/or Product Owners.
    • Establish team KPIs and foster a collaborative, high-performing environment.
    • Delegate tasks and projects effectively, ensuring clear ownership and accountability.
    • Provide performance feedback and develop the technical and analytical skills of your team.
    • Guide the team in effectively performing the following activities:
      • Collecting and documenting clear, concise business requirements and rules.
      • Facilitating cross-functional requirements gathering sessions.
      • Translating business needs into user stories (JIRA & Confluence).
      • Collaborating with internal teams and clients.
      • Creating visualizations of current/future state business, operations, and technical processes.
      • Defining best practices and managing tools/templates for the TBA team.
      • Planning and allocating BA resources.
  • Advanced Business Analysis:
    • Partner with business stakeholders to identify needs, define solutions, and develop clear requirements.
    • Analyze complex business processes for improvement and optimization.
    • Document requirements using various techniques (use cases, user stories, data flow diagrams).
    • Develop and manage project plans and timelines to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
    • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate proposed solutions.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
    • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and manage stakeholder expectations.
    • Identify and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies.
    • Monitor project progress and proactively communicate potential issues or roadblocks.
    • Develop and maintain business process documentation.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in business analysis.

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in business analysis, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or lead role
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring a team of business analysts
  • Strong understanding of business process modeling, requirements gathering, and solution design
  • Minimum 5 years working in the Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, or Health Insurance industries
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
  • Experience with business analysis tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps, Miro, Mural, Visio)
  • Experience in collecting, and defining business requirements, user stories, process flows, and wireframes
  • Familiarity with business analysis concepts, tools and techniques
  • Ability to interact with people from all disciplines with all levels of experience
  • Experience working both independently and collaboratively as part of cross-functional teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience as a Manager of Business or Systems Analysis
  • Customer Relationship Management System experience
  • Salesforce Health Cloud, MuleSoft experience
  • Experience working with pharmacy software (e.g. CPR+, CareTend, PioneerRx)
  • Experience with Atlassian applications, including Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with wireframe tools such as Balsamiq
  • Scrum Product Owner or ScrumMaster Certified; experience migrating an organization to Agile

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $97,000 to $136,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S.  The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position.  Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living).  EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
