Base is growing, and we’re excited to expand our Developer Relations (DevRel) team. Base is built on Optimism’s open-source OP Stack, and our mission is to build a global onchain economy that increases innovation, creativity, and economic freedom, and DevRel is essential to this effort. We’re joining as the second Core Dev team working on the OP Stack to ensure it’s a public good available to everyone; and contributing a portion of sequencer revenue to funding public goods.
Your work as a Senior Developer Advocate will primarily be focused on building creative onchain experiences with the Base Marketing team in order to help bring the next billion users onchain. You’ll work closely with Base engineering, product, ecosystem, and creative teams and will build on the Developer Relations team.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
- Create onchain apps for the Base Marketing team
- Write smart contracts in and build engaging user experiences
- Make it easier for Base builders to develop apps by creating public goods that influence the entire EVM community
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
- 5+ years experience as a software engineer
- 1+ years of experience building onchain
- Fluent in JavaScript/TypeScript and web3 libraries
- Expert frontend skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment without much oversight
- Open source project contributions
Nice to haves:
- DevRel experience
- Experience with Go
- Experience shaping content for multi-disciplinary projects
- Experience working in a startup environment
