General Dynamics in St Leonards-on-Sea currently provide avionic mission computing systems for a wide range of military fast jets, helicopters, and UAV’s. Recent success has resulted in General Dynamics developing the next generation of Advanced High Performance, Safety Critical Mission Computer Systems to meet the needs of latest platforms in development by several aircraft manufacturers. These Mission Computing Systems provide the functionality that integrates aircraft systems, sensor systems and weapon systems with the information and control systems required by the aircrew to meet the demanding operational needs of these aircraft.
Job Description
An exciting opportunity to join General Dynamics, a leading-edge defence company, as a Senior Production Coordinator.
This position, would allow you to play a leading role in our innovative Manufacturing team, working on both avionics systems and armoured vehicle communication systems. You will use your project co-ordination knowledge, to work alongside the master scheduler, to ensure meeting delivery deadlines on programmes assigned to you. You will be required to maintain Estimated Time to Complete spreadsheets (ETCs) for submission to programme managers and to use a Manufacturing Resource Planning tool to raise and release works orders on to the shop floor. You will also be required to deal with people working in different departments, such as Supply Chain Management, Engineering and Programmes.

Qualifications
- A good understanding of scheduling and the use of ERP/MRP systems
- Excellent knowledge of spreadsheets
- High standard of written and verbal communication skills
- Good understanding of and experience with using Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work within a team
- Capable of working on numerous tasks in parallel
- Able to work independently and prioritise work load
- Proven experience of project management/co-ordination
- A project/programme manager qualification such as APM is desirable

This role of Senior Production Coordinator has a starting salary of £27,600 to £34,500 dependant upon experience and an attractive flexible benefits package.
