Job Description
This position will assist in planning and directing the accounting operations of the company including the maintenance of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Assist in various operations of the Accounting Department, which included Federal and State Audit prep, accounts receivable
Prepare and analyze benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance
Assist with Corporate Registrations
Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
Work with external auditors for the annual audit
Assist in preparing, calculating, analyzing, and finalizing indirect and overhead rates used for federal overhead rates (FAR/CAS) as well as similar overhead rates for various state contracts
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
Prepare billings and assist with revenue recognition and reconciliation
Oversee Leasing transactions and accounting for capital expenditures
Understands GAAP and Federal Contracting Requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration
Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred, but not required.
Preferred Qualifications: In addition to the required qualifications, the following education and skill set are preferred:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Organizational and time management skills
Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Additional Information
Compensation: Compensation for the role is $80,000 - $110,000 and will depend on several factors, including candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
