The job at a glance
Join our team and you’ll be responsible for solving the challenges of data warehousing in a rapidly growing platform whilst in an evolving marketplace. For us, teamwork is everything. We are making significant investment in business intelligence and data warehousing at scale and we will invest in you.
Working in the Data and BI domain, with one of our scrum teams you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and progress your career, using newer technologies and defining best practices to deliver a self-service BI model for the wider organisation.
You will bring your whole self to work, be super interested in all things technical and be happy to collaborate with a wide group of stakeholders.

Your responsibilities
- Start your day with a stand up, then spin up your environment and bham, you're ready to go
- Pair with your team mates, further develop a new data feed and enjoy the data flowing in seamlessly. Realise a team member has left their laptop unlocked and turn their screen upside down ctrl+alt+? (unwritten rule - don't do this to your pairing partner)
- Review a pull request and deploy to production through your CI pipeline - pat yourself on the back. Have a coffee!
- Come across a show stopper, figure out as a team what to do, run some whiteboard design sessions (realising you've used a permanent marker, you quickly leave the room)
- Design and experiment in your team retro on the roof terrace, then mingle with peeps from other tribes at Innovation day demos with beers and snacks
Qualifications
Your skills and Qualifications
- Experience of Data Warehousing, Data Modelling, Database Design, ETL
- Experience working with the following technologies - AWS Redshift, SQL Server, Power BI, Cloud/DevOps – AWS, Docker, Terraform, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Team City, Octopus CI/CD deploy pipeline
- Experience of Agile, pair programming, code reviews
- Knowledge of one development language (Python, C#, Java), Data Lakes, Crawlers, Event Sourcing and Data Mesh is a plus
- Proven commitment to high quality, maintainable code
